Positive School Climate Committee Meeting

Dear Scio Parents,

I wanted to officially invite you to participate in our first  Positive School Climate Committee meeting this year. This committee will be made up of parents, educators and other members of our Scio School District community. The purpose of the committee is to review policies and/or procedures that are in place to help our schools make everyone feel safe and welcome.

This committee will meet 3-4 times a year to review and make recommendations for continued practices and/or improvements. I personally believe that when we collect the thoughts and opinions of our customers we do better at meeting their needs. Community engagement has shown to make a huge difference in the effectiveness of schools and we want to take advantage of this.

So, if you are interested in participating this year to help us continue to improve our student's experience in school, please plan to join us on Tuesday, November 17, 2026 at 6:00pm.  The meeting will be held in Centennial Elementary School's Library. If you plan to attend, please email me back so that I can prepare for the number of people that will be coming. Tacos will be provided!
