Meet the Principal

I am excited and beyond thankful to serve as your Principal. It is an honor to support our students, staff, families, and community, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving Centennial Elementary and the Scio community.

A little about me:

I graduated from Oregon State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development and Education and earned my master’s degree in Special Education. I am currently completing my Principal Licensure Program through the University of Oregon.

I began my career in education in special education, spending 13 years creating and leading K-5 self-contained programs focused on life skills and supporting students with a variety of abilities and disabilities, including students on the autism spectrum. In 2019, my family and I moved to Scio for my husband’s business opportunity, and it quickly became home. Our two sons have both attended Centennial since kindergarten, giving me a special connection to our school as both an educator and a parent.

I joined Centennial as a kindergarten teacher in 2021, a role I absolutely loved. I then served as our Behavior Support Specialist before becoming principal in January 2025. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue leading and serving our school.

As your principal, my greatest commitment is to our students. I want every child to feel known, valued, safe, and supported while being challenged to grow and reach their potential. I believe strong relationships are at the heart of a successful school, and I am committed to building those relationships with students, families, and staff.

I believe families are essential partners in their children's education. I want our families to feel heard, respected, welcomed, and confident that we are working together to support their children. I am equally committed to supporting our staff and creating a positive, collaborative environment where they feel valued and empowered to do their best work.

I love Centennial Elementary and the Scio community, and I feel incredibly fortunate to serve alongside such wonderful students, staff, and families. I look forward to continuing to grow together, celebrate our successes, and make Centennial the very best place for our students.
